Sons of Portugal Scholarship Fund
History
The Sons of Portugal Scholarship was established in 1965 with the primary objective of recognizing and rewarding academic excellence among students of Portuguese descent. Scholarship awards are given to High School Seniors and College students seeking a bachelors degree in an approved undergraduate program of study.
Navigator Award
This award, established in honor of our 50th anniversary, is presented to an individual who is a positive inspiration and consistently demonstrates an exceptional loyalty to the Portuguese community. They give of themselves selflessly to others and exemplify perseverance and leadership in their everyday lives. This person’s long-term commitment of outstanding service influences others to pursue knowledge, discipline and generosity.

Applications may be obtained at the Guidance Department Offices or Career Centers at all area high schools and trade schools in the greater Danbury area, printing them from below or can be found on our Facebook page. Please note that the application deadline is
April 20th, 2024.
Important Updates:
1) High School Transcripts can be sent digitally from a guidance counselor to our email.
2)Activity verification for ALL can be submitted via email directly from supervisor with a professional email.
